Information we collect
- Enquiries: your name and email, an optional phone number, installation type, requested service and any message you send. The website records when the enquiry was received and a request reference to prevent duplicate submissions.
- Privacy requests: your name, email, optional phone number and the request you submit.
- Testimonials and projects: a customer’s agreed display name, location, feedback, optional rating and photograph, or agreed project descriptions and images. These are supplied to us or added by the website owner. Published material can be seen by anyone visiting the site.
- Technical information: hosting and delivery services may process an IP address, browser information, request times and security records when serving the website. The site’s own code does not add analytics or advertising trackers.
Please only share information relevant to your request. Providing name and email is necessary for us to reply through the forms; phone details are optional.
How and why we use it
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answer enquiries and discuss requested work | Steps requested by you before a possible contract; legitimate interests in answering other business enquiries. |
| Maintain the website, prevent spam and protect records | Legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure website. |
| Publish a customer testimonial or identifiable project material | Your permission or consent for that publication. You can ask us to stop displaying it. |
| Respond to privacy rights requests and meet legal duties | Compliance with a legal obligation where applicable. |
We do not use the website enquiry form to subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell enquiry information or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated processing.
Who receives information
Website enquiries and privacy requests are available in the private website management area to the authorised website owner. They are not displayed publicly. Hosting, database, file storage and delivery are provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Those services handle information needed to operate the website.
If you contact us by email, our email service also handles that correspondence. We may disclose relevant information where legally required or to obtain professional advice or address a legal claim. Customer feedback and project material are public only when published with the appropriate permission.
Optional project videos are hosted by YouTube or Vimeo. Their player does not load until you choose to load it. See the cookie policy.
Processing outside the Isle of Man
Hosting and delivery services operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the Isle of Man. The location and transfer arrangements depend on the provider and the service. You can ask us for information about the arrangements applicable to your request.
Provider information: OpenAI privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy. These links explain the providers’ own practices; they do not replace this notice.
How long information is kept
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. For an enquiry, that includes handling the request and any relevant follow-up. If work proceeds, related records may be needed for the job, legal obligations or the handling of a dispute. The nature of the request, whether work proceeds and any legal requirement determine the period.
The website enquiry database does not currently apply automatic expiry. Records can be reviewed and deleted by the owner; you can request deletion, subject to any lawful reason for retaining them. Published testimonials and identifiable project material can be removed from public display if you withdraw permission. Provider backups and security records may follow the provider’s separate retention arrangements.
Keeping information secure
The website uses HTTPS and restricts its management area to the authorised owner account. Enquiry submissions have input checks, duplicate protection and spam controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in your message.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or a restriction on its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request portability where it applies. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Use the form below to contact us. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We aim to respond within one month; if an extension is permitted, we will explain the reason.
You can also complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner: ask@inforights.im or +44 1624 693260. You do not have to contact us first.
